membership
Our members are real estate investors living primarily in the Manatee County area. Of course, there are no restrictions... some of our members come from as far as Tampa! Many Sarasota County investors also choose to participate in our alliance.
overview
As an alliance, our focus is on supporting one another and contributing to each other’s success. Members often arrive at the meeting site a little bit early, and hang around for awhile afterwards, to get in valuable networking time.
We believe that every member has something of value to contribute to the whole... even the newest investor. Often a very valuable contribution comes in the form of a newbie’s question!
meeting format
Here’s what a typical meeting looks like:
- 11:45am - 12:15pm: lunch with general networking
- 12:15pm - 12:30pm: vendor presentations; member announcements of properties wanted or properties for sale, rent, etc.
- 12:30pm - 1:15pm: formal presentation by a scheduled speaker, or topic-specific Q&A between the members.
We allow non-members free attendance at two “test drive” meetings to experience the alliance first hand before deciding whether to join.
membership levels
We have two levels of membership: Standard Members and Vendor Members.
- Standard Members pay $50 per year (rebilled in the month of the original membership approval), and enjoy all the benefits of alliance membership.
- Vendor membership is for business people like lenders, mortgage brokers, title company representatives, attorneys, home inspectors, insurance brokers, contractors, etc. Vendor Members pay $100 per year (rebilled in the month of the original membership).
Vendor members enjoy the same benefits as Standard Members, and they can promote their services directly to the entire membership via: - A public announcement / explanation of their service at the regular meetings.
- Posting of their information (an image of their business card and a link to their web site) in the Vendors section of the alliance web site... in both the public area (where you are now) and in the Members Only area.
- Passing out of business cards, flyers, and promotional announcements at the meetings.
member benefits
The most obvious benefits to membership are the weekly meetings, the education available, and the networking opportunities.
Additionally, many of our Vendor Members offer discounts or other incentives to alliance members who use their services.
With membership comes access to the Member’s Only section of the web site. Here you will find a wealth of educational articles, and investor tools... including, but not limited to:
- Past meeting presentations
- Local Monthly Market Condition Reports
- State & National Real Estate Market Reports
- Real Estate Articles & Advice
- Investor tools like spreadsheets, calculators
- Scripts and dialogues
- Investment analysis resources
- Loan amortization tools and mortgage calculators
- Links to other investor resources
- Vendor-Member Roster, and
- Multiple Listing Service Search.
how to join
The best way to join is to come to a meeting as a visitor. There you can pick up a Membership Application Form to fill out at your convenience and then bring with you (along with the applicable membership fee) to the next meeting.
Alternatively, you can download and print out the application form. Again, fill out the form and bring it to the next meeting.
As soon as your application is approved you will receive an email with your login information to the web site.
Additionally, each new member receives the gift of a free real estate investing book with their paid membership.
